Refund Policy

At botaplace.com, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction while also protecting sellers and service providers. This Refund Policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for transactions made on our platform.

1. GENERAL REFUND POLICY

  • Refunds are subject to the Seller’s refund policy stated at the time of purchase
  • Sellers are responsible for handling refund requests, except in cases of fraud, chargebacks, or policy violations.
  • Stripe’s payment processing fees are non-refundable (Stripe Fee Policy).
  • Refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 5 business days upon approval.

2. ELIGIBILITY FOR REFUNDS

Refunds are permitted in the following situations:

  • Defective, damaged, or incorrect items (for physical products).
  • Service not delivered or completed as promised (for digital services).
  • Order cancellations within the cancellation window (if applicable).
  • Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions.

Refunds are not permitted for:

  • Digital downloads, subscriptions, or software once accessed.
  • Services already rendered.
  • Buyer’s change of mind (unless allowed by the seller).
  • Violation of platform policies.

3. REQUESTING A REFUND

To request a refund, buyers must:

  • Contact the Seller directly via [your platform’s messaging system or email].
  • Provide order details (order number, transaction ID, reason for the refund).
  • If unresolved within 5 days, escalate to Bota Support at support@botaplace.com

4. CANCELLATION POLICY

4.1 Buyer-Initiated Cancellations

  • Buyers may cancel an order within four hours of purchase if it has not been processed.
  • If an order has already been fulfilled, it is subject to the seller’s refund policy.

4.2 Seller-Initiated Cancellations

  • Sellers may cancel an order due to inventory issues, pricing errors, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • If the seller cancels, buyers receive a full refund, including any service fees.

5. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & CHARGEBACKS

  • If a refund is denied by the seller, buyers may open a dispute with botaplace.com within 5 - 7 days of the transaction.
  • If a chargeback is filed with the buyer’s bank, Stripe’schargeback process will apply. Sellers may be required to provide evidence to dispute the chargeback.

6. PROCESSING TIME FOR REFUNDS

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days.
  • Refunds appear on the original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on the bank.
